Updates from WorkChoices - Australia’s new workplace reforms package

 

This new system which took effect from 27 March 2006 provides a single, national set of rules for minimum terms, conditions, awards and agreements.   The Workplace Relations Regulations 2006 will help employers and employees to know their rights and responsibilities under the new WorkChoices system and to make any necessary changes in their workplace.

The following links give you the more recent workplace relations regulations amendments.
 
These Regulations amend the Workplace Regulations 2006 to make various amendments relating to prohibited content, the Australian Fair Pay and Conditions Standard and transitional arrangements for pre-reform personal/carer's and compassionte leave. These Regulations also make various amendments of a minor and technical nature. 
 
These Regulations amend the Workplace Relations Regulations 1996 relating to: preserved State agreements, the operation of State and Territory laws relating to apprentices and trainees, personal/carer's leave, civil remedies and record keeping and payslip requirements. 
 
These Regulations amend the Workplace Relations Regulations 2006 to make changes relating to leave entitlements, wage agreements and instruments, the disclosure of information, and entitlements to a safe job or to take paid leave.
